God's Expectations · 3.5
Worship and Fellowship
Christians are not meant to walk alone. Worship and fellowship with other believers is a core expectation — and a great gift — of the Christian life.
What Worship and Fellowship Mean
Worship is the posture of a heart that recognizes God for who He is — holy, loving, and worthy of all praise. It happens in song, in prayer, in Scripture, in service, and in the ordinary moments of daily life.
Fellowship is the deep, committed community of believers who encourage one another, bear one another's burdens, and grow together in faith. It is more than attending a service — it is belonging to a family.
Why It Matters
The writer of Hebrews urges believers not to give up meeting together — because gathering with other Christians is how we spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
Isolation is one of the enemy's most effective tools. When believers disconnect from community, they become vulnerable to doubt, discouragement, and spiritual drift. Fellowship is a safeguard.
Worship also reorients our hearts. In a world that constantly pulls our attention toward lesser things, regular worship reminds us of what is true, what is eternal, and who is in control.
